THE DESIGN BIOSPHERE - Our design work focuses on creating illusions for film, television, museum exhibitions and hi-theme public attractions. We have turned a phrase borrowed from our ecological friends, we call it the DESIGN BIOSPHERE. It is an organic interaction of a project's components that guides the decision making process. Story tellers understand this well. The DESIGN BIOSPHERE is like a well ordered atom with its orbiting electrons in perfect balance with the mass of its neutrons. When correctly implemented the narrative will demand a solution in which all design elements cooperate, one with another.
Every choice the designer (story teller) makes from the color of a wall to the placement of a settee becomes an important choice. Every choice has a role to play in welding together the integrity of the DESIGN BIOSPHERE. Without this navigational tool all is left to chance, personal taste, whim or fancy. Let us help you set a course for your project towards fulfilling its goals and objectives.
As Architects of Illusion we specialize in film, television, theater, exhibition, attraction design, high theme interior design and architecture. We treat design as more than the simple and pleasing arrangements of pieces and parts but rather as a decision making process driven by story-narrative and budget realities. If you have a design challenge that seems perplexing, perhaps even unmanageable we look forward to assisting you and your team. Our team is lead by John DeCuir, Jr. who has designed feature films, films for television and themed attractions in Italy, Spain, France, England, Ireland, Jaan, Canada, and throughout the United States. Mr. DeCuir has ALSO worked extensively throughout the themed attraction and exhibition industries.
